GOALS OF SLOLES ASSOCIATIONWood is the main building material that grows in nature and is renewable. For Slovenia, it represents a domestic strategic raw material with untapped potential.
01. STRATEGIC RAW MATERIAL
History and Culture of Slovenia has been tightly connected with wood, as there is as much as 59% of the Slovenia’s territory covered by forests. Big natural stock of raw material provides us with a chance to primarily process the material into semi-finished products and sawn wood.
02. ORGANIZED OPERATIONS
Closely connected production of timber and trading provides a constant supply of sawn wood and semi-finished wooden products.
03. ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
Collaboration with SLOLES provides responsible behaviour towards the nature.

Wood in numbers
Slovenia exports about 55% of unprocessed timber and then buys back processed at high prices, the rest is mostly processed unsystematically and disorganized.
